John Chesemore ‘89
With 28 years of integrated marketing and sales experience, John loves to create strategic programs, drive impactful campaigns, and deliver business impact through product solutions. Before going to Marchex, John sent many years working in roles supporting large, well-branded companies such as Kenmore, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Chevrolet, and Ford.
In his current role, he leads the client engagement team for Marchex’s largest enterprise customer. He is responsible for all aspects of the account, including planning, execution, and optimization to ensure the client hits key performance metrics and revenue targets. He partners with a range of clients, client vendors/partners, and internal teams to help dealerships prioritize their best leads and sell more vehicles.
In his free time, John enjoys sports and spending time with his wife Sarah, son Nicholas (17), daughter Anne (14), dog Charle (7), and horse Jimmy (3).
John Ensminger ‘83
Combining his passion for sports and fitness with his interest in strategy and brand building, John has spent the last 25 years working for & consulting in many leading brands in the sporting goods and outdoor industries. He had gained broad management experience in corporate strategy, general management, sales and operations with Nike, Procter & Gamble, CDI/Oliver Wyman Consulting and K2 Sports and now runs his own management consulting practice, Everest Consulting. He has also been fortunate to work throughout the U.S. Asia & Europe, living in The Netherlands, Taiwan and Korea during his career.
Graduating from Cal with a BS-Exercise Physiology, John pivoted into a career in business, eventually getting his MBA at the Wharton School of Business. He continues to be an active running, cyclist and outdoorsman and enjoys traveling with his wife Emma and four children.
